Our Reason for Being

In 1970, King Brothers Industries owner Bob King developed his first product in a tool shed in Fillmore, California. This product was the Flex Riser which upon its completion sold over 100,000 units instantly.

Then in 1980, KBI went on to develop the company's first valve, the BTU or Blocked True Union ball valve. Since that time new products such as the Quik-Fix, Low-Torque ball valves and Schedule 80 Unions have rolled out non-stop. KBI soon expanded from the Irrigation and Pool Markets into the Plumbing Market with its release of the first CPVC Economy Ball Valve (CBV) made in the United States. This product, along with the addition of the transition adaptor to the company's product line, makes KBI the preferred source for plumbing and irrigation for both pool contractors and homeowners worldwide.
